One and J Gallery 는 2005년에 설립되었으며, 최근 주목받고 있는 현대 미술 작가들의 작품을 널리 알리고 한국 현대 미술의 든든한 기초를 마련하고자 하는 목표를 지향합니다.
ONE AND J. Gallery was founded in 2005 in Seoul, Korea and is run by Won Jae Park and Patrick Lee. The gallery focuses on the works of emerging contemporary Asian artists and has established a reputation as a foundation for the advancement of contemporary art in Korea. The gallery has garnered recognition for its strong curatorial focus. ONE AND J. Gallery represented artists have participated in the Gwangju Biennale, Busan Biennale, Singapore Biennial, 5th Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, Officina Asia, Passage de Retz, Biennale Giovani Monza, and the Incheon Women Artists Biennale. The gallery artists have most recently participated in Chaotic Harmony – A Survey of Contemporary Korean Photography (Museum of Fine Arts Houston), Kim Jongku Solo Show at the Spencer Museum of Fine Arts, Jina Park solo show at the Sungkok Museum of Art (Seoul), and group exhibitions at the Nam June Paik Center, the Samsung Museum of Art, Artsonje, and Mori Museum among others.
The gallery will continue to serve as an important platform for the creative process in Korea. This year, the gallery launched a night program titled 1NJ629 focusing on film, video art, performance, music and design. The program allows the gallery to present a diverse array of artists that are not formally a part of the gallery program but provides a platform for the creative community.
Works from the gallery are in the permanent collection of the Spencer Museum, the Mori Museum, Queensland Museum of Art, Samsung Museum of Art, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul Museum of Art, Bank of America, UBS, and Fidelity Investments.
The gallery has most recently participated in ART HK, Frieze, The Armory Show, and Art Los Angeles Contemporary. The gallery will next participate in the Focus Section of Frieze in October 2012.
