제22회 ‘키아프 서울’에는 20개 국가와 지역에 소재한 210여 개갤러리가 참가한다. 한국을 대표하는 국제아트페어인 키아프 서울은 글로벌 관람객들이 방문하는 국제적인 플랫폼으로써, 우수한 한국 작가를 비롯하여 동시대의 아시아 미술을 중심으로 젊고 미래지향적이며 역동적인 현대미술에 주목한다.

생동감 넘치는 한국 미디어아트의 씬을 보여줄 뉴미디어 아트 특별전, 한국을 중심으로 전세계의 역동적이고 재기 발랄한 젊은 작가 및 뉴미디어 아트를 선보일 Kiaf PLUS 섹션은 Kiaf SEOUL 2023의 지향점을 첨예하게 보여줄 것이다.

올해 키아프 서울은 코엑스 A, B홀과 그랜드볼룸을 포함한 1층 전관에서 오픈하며, ‘Frieze Seoul’은 3층 C, D홀을 사용한다. 두 페어는 작년 첫 공동 개최를 통해 글로벌 미술계의 주목을 받으며 국제 아트 허브로서 서울이 가진 놀라운 잠재력을 보여줬다.

‘Kiaf’ –Korea’s leading international art fair–will bring together over 210 galleries from 20 countries and territories for its 2023 edition. Reinforcing its mission to introduce contemporary Korean art and emerging artists to a global audience, Kiaf 2023 will showcase more than 130 Korean galleries, providing an overview of Korea’s thriving art scene and latest trends. 30 galleries from such cities as Beijing, Monterrey, Munich, New York, Paris, Taipei, Tokyo, and more will join the fair for the first time.

This year, Kiaf will also present a special exhibition of ten Korean new media artists to showcase the vibrant scene of Korean new media art. This special exhibition is co-curated by Dae-chan Heo, Editorin-Chief of Aliceon, Korea’s firstever online news platform dedicated to new media culture, and artist Jae-hyung Lee, a researcher and planner in the field of technology-mediated culture. Once again, ‘Frieze Seoul’ will take place at Halls C and D of COEX, in partnership with the Galleries Association of Korea and concurrent to Kiaf.
