A book about the director of the Kim Daljin Art Materials Museum, which opened in 2008, is attracting attention from the Korean art world. The title of the book is 'Kim Daljin, Korean Art Archivist.' Kim is called the 'human cultural property' in the Korean art materials world and is a national treasure in the archive.

The author of this book is Kim Jaehee, who was commended by the Minister of Culture and Sports for promoting art works to the public while working as an English docent at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Following the publication of the book, a publication ceremony was held at the Artist House on Feb. 22. Former Director of Yun Beommo joined the event Many people from the art world.

The author was commended by the Minister of Culture and Sports for promoting art works to the public while working as an English docent at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Art critic Yun Jinseop wrote the book's recommendation as follows.

'Walking Art Dictionary Kim Daljin! It has already been 50 years since he was crazy about art and collected related art materials. Now the name Kim Daljin has become a brand of Korea. It is the price of his efforts to visit exhibition halls every day. I affirm that Kim Daljin, who is diligent enough to be included in a middle school moral textbook, resigns from others. This book is a historical record of his life and collection of art materials.'

LEE: 'Congratulations on your publication ceremony. Please tell us how you feel.'

KIM: 'The book, 'Kim Daljin, Archivist of Korea,' is about the collection of art materials that I started when I was in middle and high school. It is also about how it was shared socially.'

LEE: 'In the title of the book, you introduced the director as 'archivist of Korean art'.'

KIM: 'This book is not my autobiography. It's a biographical essay that the author wrote as a story based on 16 interviews and dozens of diaries.'

KIM: 'Actually, I'm embarrassed because I feel like my naked body is revealed when the book comes out. I hope that the story of my life, which I have worked hard to collect and share art materials all my life, will be well known to the art and museum industries and be of some help.'

LEE: Please briefly introduce the book 'Kim Daljin, Archivist of Korean Art.'

KIM: 'Archivist is a record keeper. It starts with a story about why Kim Daljin, an archive expert of Korean art, collected art materials when he was a child. Kim Jaehee, the author of the book, wrote an essay about what she did by creating a museum of art materials and how she shared them socially.
