Job description

International Fine Art Shipping Company seeks part time warehouse manager to oversee the daily operations at our Seoul 3rd party facility. The Warehouse Manager will have broad responsibilities of overseeing all policies and procedures in regards to art handling staff operating in the building, as well as supporting the Facilities Department needs. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years professional experience in a similar position, an interest in Contemporary Art, as well as a strong sense of initiative and independent work ethic. The ideal candidate will have management experience and a positive attitude. Must be comfortable multitasking in a fluid environment and be capable of problem solving. Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients is a necessity.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



Managing inventory, off-site storage, and incoming and outgoing shipments

Writing condition reports

Conducting periodic location inventory for collection in storage

Hiring and managing freelance art handlers  

Collaborating with the registrar to correct outdated artwork database records

Installing artwork(s) for viewing and photography





Qualifications:



Minimum of 3 years art handling experience

Technical knowledge of artwork and art handling best practices

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Basic knowledge of photography and condition reporting

Hard-working, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, additional language fluency a plus

Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft office suite, Photoshop, and collection management databases
