가나아트는 국경, 세대, 예술적 경계를 초월하여 마음과 정신을 탐색하는 그룹전 《Standing Still》을 개최한다. 이번 전시는 인간의 본질적인 요소인 마음과 정신 사이에 내재한 이원성을 탐구한다. 세대와 지역을 초월한 예술가 8인들의 작품을 통해 시각 언어로 표현된 삶의 일면을 다각도로 살펴보는 시간이 되기를 바란다.

본 전시는 마음과 정신 사이의 미묘한 관계를 지속적으로 탐구하며 작업으로 표현하는 작가들로 구성되었다. 초현실적인 인상을 주는 해체된 이미지의 작업은 장소와 공간에 대한 고정관념을 넘어 다양한 상상을 유발하고, 인간 정신의 복잡성을 고찰하도록 이끈다. 또한 각 작가들은 저마다의 방식으로 내적인 정신의 변화를 관찰하고, 개인적인 경험을 작품에 풀어낸다. 인식과 관념 사이의 미묘한 균형을 탐색하는 작업들은 복합적인 심상의 풍경을 선보인다. 할리우드 중심부의 트윈 방갈로 건물에서 개최되는 이번 전시는 자기 성찰이 예술적으로 표현된 친숙하고도 특별한 구성을 펼친다. 문화적 연결의 조성을 위해 노력하는 가나아트 엘에이는 이번 전시를 통해 한국과 미국 예술가 모두의 독창적인 탐구 결과를 선보이고자 한다. 《Standing Still》은 단순한 전시를 넘어 국가와 국가를 잇는 가교이자 다양한 관점을 선보이는 축제, 그리고 예술이 보편적인 시각 언어라는 증거이다. 국제적인 예술가들의 작품을 선보이는 이번 전시가 마음과 정신, 한국과 미국 사이의 연결을 예술적인 언어로 보여주는 자리가 되기를 기대한다.
